Royal Motor Yacht Club - Here with you

November 14, 2016

In just the last, short, little while, Pantaenius Australia has come on board with the glorious Royal Motor Yacht Club on Pittwater. In typical style, the crew very quickly matched their commitment with true presence, by setting up the trailer and display for the club’s annual Timber Boat Festival in early November.

The club and its members also seemed to appreciate the direct involvement, with loads of owners and visitors stopping by to talk boats with the crew that really know them. Some were also quite keen to secure one of the distinctive, yet understated caps that were on offer.

Rob Brown, OAM, was part of the famous, record-breaking crew of Australia II. His stellar career also encompassed the electrifying 18-footers and also the super-close, One Design, Etchells that still attract the world’s greatest to their fleets. Today, he is the Development Manager at RMYC, and he commented about the new partnership, “The Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay is very pleased to have teamed up with Pantaenius Marine Insurance. This is for a three year period as a Gold Corporate Member.”

“We believe that this partnership is a ‘perfect fit’, whereby our boat owner members, along with our participants in specific club events and activities will benefit from Pantaenius’ support.”

“At over 3,500 members, RMYC Broken Bay continues to provide our corporate and local business partners with a unique marketing vehicle to promote their brand, product and services. We also have a vast array of special events and activities, so that companies can reach their target market effectively, which ensures good return on their investment.”

“Our eight boating divisions also highlight the breadth of the club, to illustrate that we cater for quite a large percentage of the total boating market. These are:

  • Cruiser
  • Sailing
  • Multihull
  • Game Fishing
  • Mini Mariner Junior Boating Program
  • Top Hat Social sailing
  • Timber Boat Division

We welcome Pantaenius, and look forward to working closely over the next three years.”

Now for anyone not entirely familiar with the name (which is pronounced pan-tay-nee-us), they developed their insurance product for both motor and sailing vessels from the water up. Not only did that make it quite unique, it also responded directly to the market’s need for an agreed value on their vessels. A genuine global presence saw it get adopted almost unilaterally by super yachts and true blue water cruisers.

That true understanding of all types of craft is also the cornerstone of the Australian team, who has been assisting owners of sportsfishermen, expedition yachts, cruising cats and racing boats for over four years now. A genuine ‘hands on’ partner, Pantaenius Sail and Motor Yacht Insurance is certainly with you and your love of the water. Call +61 2 9936 1670 or go to www.pantaenius.com.au to see how.
